It's done! Been a while since I posted on the matter. Our team's game, Spectro, just barely made the deadline for Game Jam 7, which was two Sundays ago at midnight. Its core mechanic is "initiate."

It has a lot of problems, both functional and gameplay-based. but I'm happy that it was finished in time, and that it works at all. More than that, the fact that I was able to work with a group of complete strangers to create an idea from scratch and use it to make a presentable product isn't only a great relief, but something I'm proud of, even if the game itself isn't anything remarkable. A big thanks goes out to my team for making it all happen! It was even on the front page for a while, not that I think it deserved it.
I'm yet to check out the other Game Jam submissions; work has been taking a lot of my time, and the time I do have to myself I've tried to spend with family (working non-stop for a weekend made me miss them quite a bit XD). I should play them soon enough. I wonder who the winner is! There didn't seem to be a post about it or anything.
EDIT: Happy Robot Day! Excited to see what goodies will show up today.
